I have a tin of tea, \\\"Speically Blended for New York World's Fair.\\\" It is red with gold lettering, unopened. That fair was a high point of my youth. I sang there with a special group from my school and visited a few times after that. What I enjoyed most was just drinking in the atmosphere and following along behind marching bands with a friend as they played. It was a glorious and hopeful time at the center of the world! I'd be happy to share a picture of my tin of tea with you.
I love your idea.... I grew up in Corona, only a few blocks from the Park. I met with Lori Walter of UCF's WF project and shared some booklets, photos, etc. I will check my Dad's film collection to see if I can find anything.
By the way, someone once told me that one of the WF buildings was moved to Sarant Cadillac in Farmingdale, NY on Hempstead Tpke. I never verified that, do you know of this?
Keep up the great work, I hopefully will be back to you in the near future,
